如果您在美国改名字了，还需要提供相关改名文件（name change）的认证。由于这份文件是法院的文件，必须单独认证，因为美国法律不允许公证员公证法院签发的文件（court record）。

如果是结婚时候改名，只是改夫姓，没有正式的法院改名记录，一般提供结婚证认证即可。
如果是入籍同时改名的，没有法院判决，怎么办？ 你入籍时的联邦法院有记录。可以请他们出具一个改名的证明。注意这个证明需要美国国务院认证办公室认可的！ 流程：
